What sets the Nostrum 950cc 5.0L Coyote apart:

  • Every single injector is tested for quality control. Additionally, each set is batched according to static and dynamic flow rate
  • Designed and engineered for an affordable price. $180 cheaper than some of our competitors
  • Direct drop-in injector, no harnesses or spacers required (works with factory fuel rail and injector clip)
  • Designed specifically for this application. Only spray targeted injector designed to retain stock spray pattern for this application
  • Tuning and Installation guide available, product support available

Nostrum High Performance’s next-generation port fuel injectors are designed to fit the architecture of your engine using state-of-the-art CFD software which takes exact fuel injector location, intake manifold design, and cylinder head geometry into account.

WHP Potential on E85: 950* [90% max duty cycle, 10% driveline loss, 438 BSFC g/(kw*hr)]
Tune Requirement: Yes
Recommended Tuning Suite: HP Tuners, SCT
Flow Rate Increase Over Stock: 133% (2.33x increase)

 Max Operating Pressure: 8 Bar

Nostrum PFI injectors are all tested on Nostrum’s temperature and pressure controlled two station production PFI injector test stand. This testing includes multiple preconditioning cycles followed by testing for tip leakage, resistance, inductance, dynamic flow, static flow as well as injector opening and closing time. Nostrum PFI injectors are then sorted and batched based on dynamic flow, static flow, offset, injector opening time, and injector closing time (Based on SAE J1832 low pressure gasoline fuel injector testing standard).

Please note that these injectors do require calibration changes to run properly.

Frequently ask questions:

Q: Why is spray pattern important? Why can't I run injectors from another model?

A: The spray pattern of an injector (the spray geometry and its mass distribution) is designed to optimally interact with an engine air flow inside the combustion chamber to improve fuel evaporation and create a homogenous air-fuel mixture that results in a higher combustion quality. The combustion quality directly impacts the vehicle’s cold start performance, idle stability, overall drivability, NVH, knock propensity, soot and other constituent tailpipe emissions.

The spray pattern is specific for each engine application. Installing an injector from another engine model, inevitably makes the spray distribution’s interaction with the air flow inside the combustion chamber sub optimal. This typically results in improper mixture formation leading to cold start and drivability issues, engine misfires, increased knock propensity and soot. Additionally, the wrong spray pattern can result in liquid fuel impinging in the cylinder walls, causing oil dilution and thereby increasing mechanical wear to engine components.

Q: Do you have tuning information available?

A: Absolutely! We are not just selling you hardware – the data package, tuning guide, and installation instructions are fundamental elements of the product you are buying from us. Our vehicle calibration team develops tuning guides and validates data packages for each platform in specific tuning suites. This means that we will validate the data and the SW in vehicle. We work with any tuning suite that is available and effective in the platform: Cobb, ECUtek, HP Tuners, SCT, BootMod3, MHD, DynoSpectrum, UpRev and even for some platforms WinOLS. Some tuning guides are public (FA20F, VAG EA888, GM LTG, Audi C7 RS6/S6/S7) and most tuning guides are only available to our dealer network and our Certified Tuners for quality and confidentiality purposes.
