Teaching a Street Racer how to Drag Race

If you're a real Parker Performance fanboy - you already know who Youssef is! You've probably seen him on some of our videos, at the shop, at the races, etc. And yet, what you may not know is that he's been a big piece of our growth on the social media and marketing side of things in the past year or so.

When we added him to the team here, we knew he was going to be a utility player for our small business. He's helped with so much, but his biggest contribution for us has been his helping Ricardo with the filming, B-roll footage, reels, YouTube Shorts, TikToks, and that's all equated to major growth for us!

And as we've received his help in those manners, we've worked on helping him execute things he's always dreamt of since buying his Ecoboost Mustang! Today's video is a good look at what the process has been like for Youssef, a well known Street Racer, to getting his skills up at the Drag Strip!

Before this, Youssef has never raced his Ecoboost Mustang at the Drag Strip. As we're progressing along with his build, he wanted to get some seat time at the local 1/8th Mile Drag Strip, Showtime Speedway. The goal has always been "Time On Task Over Time!" - not just with drag racing and seat time, but with anything we desire to improve upon in our lives!

Meanwhile, Josh has been drag racing at this local track for many years, and this is where he did all his testing & tuning in Scarlet, back when he was working on figuring out the Ecoboost platform. What works, what doesn't, what the cars like, what they need to be successful. With Scarlet, Josh was able to get consistent 1.6 sixty foot times with just a set of BMR Drag Springs, Vertical Links and a set of Drag Radials!

In this video, and with just 1 trick (launching techniques), we were able to get Youssef into the 7s at the eight mile in his FBO NX2 E30 Ecoboost Mustang! When we started the night, he was in the mid-to-high 9's in the eighth mile, when we left the track he was in the upper 7's! Tune in to find out what tricks Josh shares with Youssef to help him improve his Drag Racing techniques in his Full Bolt On NX2 Ecoboost Mustang on E30!

Now we've got to add some Safety Features to his car, so he can continue to race at Showtime, and then move on to the 1/4 mile track, Bradenton Motorsports Park. We'll be covering those safety upgrades in the next YouTube Video, so please, come back and watch that one as well!
