We've installed nearly every aftermarket forced induction setup here at the shop for our customers over the years, and hadn't previously heard of the KraftWerks brand, or their products. After seeing that our wholesale distributor had brought the lineup in-house, and that they had a unit for the S550 Mustang, and had one in stock - we felt the need to dig in and find out what it was all about.
Once we'd decided to dive into this, we reached out to the Tuning Pros over at Lund Racing, to get their input on tuning this kit, and how that may go. With our experience with them, we knew they would give us the insight as to what to look out for, avoid, etc. And in doing so, we learned that the supplied injectors in the KraftWerks kit were something they wouldn't suggest or recommend. We also learned that their placement of the MAF Sensor was perfect for a good, clean MAF signal when tuning. So armed with this information, we knew we could make a winning package by just supplying an appropriate set of injectors & Lund's custom tuning, and we'd be off to the races (literally)!
We were fortunate enough to have earned the opportunity to help a local customer secure the kit (as per our changes) and install it for him, giving us the chance to inspect, install & test it. And the results were very exciting!
The quality of the kit was very impressive, everything was packaged well, labeled well & even fit well! They supplied over 100 pages of printed color installation instructions (which, for the most part, were spot on - there were a few things I thought they could've done a little better). Once installed, tuning went very well & the car made a respectable amount of usable power with relative ease!
We ultimately packaged the KraftWerks C38-92 Race Supercharger Kit with Fuel Injector Clinic 1000cc Injectors, and Lund Racing's custom tune. Checkout the final results by watching the full video here:
