How to fix your P04DB Check Engine Light Code for your Ford Mustang Ecoboost

Do you have a P04DB Check Engine Light on your Ecoboost Mustang? Tired of that pesky P04DB CEL on your Cobb Accessport? So here's how to fix your P04DB CEL on your Ecoboost Mustang!

Most commonly, the P04DB code will come up listed as "No Description Available" if you're using your Cobb Accessport to read the fault codes. However, with some research, you'll find that the P04DB fault code actually refers to "Crankcase Ventilation System Disconnected" DTC.

This code refers to the Hall Effect Sensor, which is reading voltage outside of it's typical (desired) parameters, typically meaning that a hose has been disconnected from somewhere within your PCV system. Most often, for our Ecoboost Mustang customers, this will happen when you have a leak at one of your catch can lines. We've also seen this happen when the catch can lines may have been installed "backwards" - in a manner where the check valves are pointing TOWARDS the catch can. When installing your check valves, you need to make sure that all the arrows are running AWAY from the catch can!

Once you've gone through and double checked all of your PCV, Vacuum & Catch Can Lines, we suggest that you clear the code & resume normal driving. Monitor to see if the problem persists or returns, and then revisit if so.

We hope this helps you in curing your P04DB Check Engine Light on your Ecoboost Mustang!
